Caring

According to the Webster dictionary the definition of caring is to be concerned or interested. For me showing caring involves being courteous and behaving in a manner of supervision over someone or something that you love or have a liking for.

Being able to practice caring involves appreciating others around you and also appreciating things such as nature and the circumstances that are part of your life and your environment. Life is filled with treasures including the experiences, adventures you have been on to your car and your house or your career. I personally believe the most precious thing in our lives is the connections with other people in the world. Although some of you might argue and say "I hate people they are so mean and evil". While this may be true about some people, it is not true about everyone. Everyone has multiple characteristics and all people are filled with good and bad it's just a part of life, it makes us all unique as individuals. Even the most peaceful and polite person could change or behave differently if put in a life-threatening or severe situation. However this is in the power of choice that we humans have and should practice to the full extent we can. Sometimes we may feel like we are stuck and only have one option, however keeping a calm and keeping patience can reveal other opportunities.

Caring for others around you will not only help you strengthen your relationship with them, it can give you passion and purpose in your life. We have the power to not only lift ourselves up but also others that are facing a difficult or tough time. That is how we can show caring by appreciating others and supporting the ones around you, especially the ones that need it. Being courteous to others and being able to practice empathy is a great way to show caring.Understanding what others feel and think will help you learn more about them. If you can figure out what people care for and motivate them it will help build meaningful relationships. You can find others that share the same passion and purpose as you. You can help others find happiness and fill your own life with joy and happiness.

I struggled to find the joy and happiness in life, instead of looking into myself and creating these positive feelings and thoughts, I focused on materialistic things on which I grew to be dependent on. Whether it was drugs or alcohol or attention from other people for the wrong reasons it was all unhealthy. I did not care for others and I did not look to help others with their problems because I was too busy and concerned about my own issues. I did not bother to have empathy for others, I was kind and courteous however it was not genuine from the heart it was more of a front and just like a frosting layer to my personality. I wasn't going to stick around continue being polite unless it was going to benefit me in one way or another. I love my family and friends, however there were times when I cared more about myself and was more concerned about getting high and having a good time rather than spending time with my family, spending quality time with others was second to getting high.

Practicing caring in your daily life involves showing appreciation to others and for the things we have in life. Showing appreciation to your loved ones can be done by spending valuable time with them. You don't have to buy them the newest watch or most expensive gifts to show them how much you love them. Remember time is the most valuable asset in life. No amount of money can buy 1 second of time, once it passes it is gone and you can never get it back. Just remember we all have time so there's no excuse, we should all spend a little time with our loved ones that we want to have around. Successfully showing caring can help you rebuild your relationships and strengthen them more than they previously were. By spending time with other people you can communicate and listen to their interest hobbies and figure out the things that make them happy and figure out things that motivate the ones that are important to you.

Now that you have figured out what motivates the other person you can begin to think about ways you can show caring to others. Remember to always think and set your mind into a positive attitude and begin to take action. Taking action with the attitude of caring in mind help us behave in a less selfish way and engaging in a more selflessness way and begin to serve those people that are important in our lives.

This is just the beginning because the attitude is highly contagious. Practicing caring daily will help you see the world from a new perspective and you can create a domino effect in other lives. Others will also develop this attitude of caring and engage in selfless acts of serving others that are struggling and in need of some help. This domino effect can make a huge impact on to other lives if it's done properly and effectively. There is not a limit to how many people that can be positively affected. Depending on what it is you care about your actions to serve others can turn into serving the whole neighborhood and leaving a positive impact in the lives of your whole community. This might not be an overnight process, it will take some time keep patience and keep persistent in your efforts. Being genuine you can make your thoughts and dreams of helping others and making a positive impact in this world into reality. Caring for others will bring you good karma as well. I love being able to put a smile on other people's face. I have a personal daily goal to make 5 people laugh every day. Some days it's more than five, I use humor as a way to connect and bond and show concern and appreciation for others. I make sure to do it in a way that I do not offend anyone else.
